Yep; this was from my teaching days.

Let me tell you a little about myself...

Who am I?

Why Learning & Development?

I am seeking a role in Learning & Development; I want to be a changemaker and assist people as they strive to strengthen themselves and/or their companies. As I thought about where I would go after teaching, I reflected on my strengths and what I enjoyed most about my former career as an educator

First and foremost, I thought about collaboration; it allowed me to see concepts in a new light, grow my ideas, and led to better outcomes overall. I thought about the feedback I'd get from my learners, colleagues, and supervisors and how it led me to reflect and alter my strategies.

I thought about data. I loved creating spreadsheets that tracked my students' progress. It gave me a complete idea of where they were and where they needed to go so I could design the appropriate strategies to get there. It let me see what was working and what wasn't in case I needed to cover a topic again.

I thought about planning and creating. Writing up lesson plans and then curating the resources to go along with them was my jam. Making them aesthetically pleasing? Even more fun.

So putting all of that together, I realized L&D would be the perfect place to land. Check out my resume + skills section and my portfolio to see if you agree.
